Eco design

Design has a huge impact on a product or service ecological footprint. In order to get students to be aware of, and more focused on, sustainable solutions the educations need to have this important mindset in place.

”Cage-free doesn’t mean freedom”

During one course at Beckmans College of Design, where I have been teaching sustainability, the students have focused on materials and reuse of products and leftovers. The outcome is really interesting and it is really great to see all the ideas that comes alive. As vegan I especially liked this project where the student wanted to get people to think about what really is hidden behind some common products.

To wake people up is one really important thing regarding sustainability, no matter if it concerns climate, equality or inclusion. If you open the eyes of someone, they won’t close them again.
