Two years ago Reese Witherspoon started her own production company after seeing actresses fighting over a really crappy role in a movie. This she told journalists at the annual Oscar Nominee Luncheon Monday in Los Angeles.
”We deserve better,” she said. Will this change anything? For Witherspoon it has, she’s now nominated for her role in Wild and I do hope we get to see more movies with strong female characters from now on. Fingers crossed we’ll also see more movies that will pass the bechdel test in the future.
”It’s great to speak up, but what I really think is you’ve got to do something” she said. Will there be any men fighting for this as well?
